Stayed over 1/2 way to a business meeting the next day, location is easy to get to. I'm a Hilton Honors Gold member and stay mostly at Hampton Inn's (very cost effective) or Double Tree's when traveling on business and other Hilton properties on leisure. This location is a little older but the room was excellent (was upgraded), very large for just 1. Everything was spotless clean. A couple of things were interesting though. Light switch by the door controlled the light directly above the door. Light switch on wall by mirror doesn't do anything. Desk lamp is a manual on lamp switch, lamp on wall next to it you have to unplug (no switch). Lamp next to sofa has a wall switch by it. Two lamps next to bed manual knobs up inside the lamp shades. The room I was upgraded to (214) turns out is the larger mobility room, however having in-laws with wheel chairs I can assure you anyone with a wheel chair in this room will have a heck of a time getting into the restroom. The door opens outward (which is fine) but it opens the wrong direction, making getting past it very challenging (and it doesn't open but a tad past 90 degrees, closet wall). The staff at the desk I didn't speak with really, did the digital check in. Went to the desk to inquire about the complementary water and snack. water from behind the front desk was room temperature. Breakfast is the usual buffet type hot plate, egg patty, sausage and potatoes, everything was excellent! house keeping I visited with in the hallway and very friendly and personable ladies. They have 'real' orange juice (not orange drink). Parking is very limited for the size of the property. Overall I would stay again when heading to NW Missouri, no complaints and the room was very clean and comfortable (with ice cold A/C).

The room had a few little glitches (bathroom door drags, second lock doesn't latch), but it was quite clean and felt safe. The evening desk clerk, Casey, was wonderful. She is warm and welcoming, clearly very busy but cheerful and helpful. Hampton is lucky to have her. I usually try to get a little further when I make this trip but will reconsider my timing since this hotel made things so easy and pleasant. I travel with a service dog and am training another. Other places, even Hampton, have given me grief. Not here. They were legally compliant but also just plain kind.

A very good hotel chain, but this location desperately needs renovation and new furniture. The breakfast is great, and the service is great. The parking is inadequate for the amount of rooms. Evidently this is a well known issue.

As others have pointed out, this is an older property and is showing wear in a few places, but I still went with 5 stars because my room was spotless and the bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast was great and there was someone constantly refilling things and keeping the place clean. Every staff member I encountered was outstanding, so I am willing to overlook a little wear on the building.

I couldn't believe just how friendly and nice very helpful all the staff was. the price was reasonable . it's been since 2013 since I was in a motel. I took on on site motel manager for days in York ne. I found out they didn't wash comforters but every 6 months. and other cleaning wasn't continuous. I was Leary of how dirty other motels had their to be I quit that job and haven't used a motel until now. very pleased.

I’ve stayed here a few times. This hotel is older and dated. The rooms are not great. Smells of smoke, the windows are broken, and AC/heat is noisy. The staff members are good and welcoming. This hotel is on the lower end of Hamptons I’ve been to.

We had a great stay at the Hampton Inn in Saint Joseph, Missouri. This property is well maintained and easy to reach from the highway. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the location was convenient to the sights we wanted to see.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights on a business trip. Unfortunately, the hotel feels quite worn out. The hallways have squeaky floors, and the carpets are old and faded. There's a lot of road noise, with frequent emergency vehicles passing by, as the hotel is located at a busy intersection. Overall, this hotel does not meet the expected standards of a Hampton Inn.

On the positive side, my room was upgraded, and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was served well in a clean area.

Stayed here for 3 nights on business. Travel 100% for work. Hilton is my brand preference for hotels. The hotel is a bit dated but clean. The carpets are noticeably old, the dining tables are
in desperate need of replacing, and the decor is severely outdated. But like I said clean. Breakfast was also good. Not over or under warmed. The only complaint I have is that the morning shift ladies were aloof in consideration of the guests in the dining area. There were two people trying to work on their laptop and personally, I enjoy a quiet morning breakfast. These two ladies helped themselves to the breakfast foods while other guests were serving themselves and discussing personal matters very loudly. I could see the two on their laptops were glancing at each other very annoyed and quite frankly so was I. I do feel that employees shouldn't serve themselves in front of guests and should really strive for a peaceful environment for breakfast.

Very very disappointed. Room is shabby. Worse of all there is a bitter stale smell. Just very outdated. Someone ate peanut butter in a cup left the cup and spoon on nightstand. Chair is stained and very outdated. I have always loved staying at Hampton Inn’s all across America. But the last few I have stayed in I have noticed a real need for room updating. On a positive note the bedding appears fresh and clean. The smell is really bad.

Totally not up to Hilton standards - lobby, elevator, hallway were all very dirty, as was the carpet in the room. Several items in the room required maintenance - but sheets and towels were clean. Still, won’t stop her again

This hotel was dirty and needs a huge renovation. Parking is inadequate for the amount of guests. Our room was filthy. The beds were old and really loud. The bathroom door wouldn’t close. The toilet didn’t flush correctly. The carpet everywhere was really old and dirty. The walls were the same. The breakfast was very mediocre with limited variety. Would not stay again. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Hopefully someone completely remodels this place
