Imperial Beach Pier is a great spot to relax and enjoy the ocean. The vibe here is super chill, and it’s a popular place for fishing—you’ll see lots of people with their lines in the water. Even if you’re not fishing, it’s nice to walk along the pier, take in the views, or watch the surfers.

Parking can be a bit tricky since most of it is street parking. But there’s a small $2 parking lot right next to the pier, which is really convenient. Just keep in mind, the spots fill up quickly, especially on busy days.

If you’re looking for a laid-back place to hang out, enjoy the sea breeze, or catch a sunset, this is the perfect spot. Simple, relaxing, and worth a visit!

Nice place to take a nice walk. Went at night, so not much else to do in the area but the pier and landscape/yard around it was really nice and decorated for the holidays. There's a bathroom but the electric wasn't working in it, so I had to use my cell phone lights

The ocean is my happy place so when we found ourselves close to the Pacific, I was fortunate enough to be able to go. I picked Imperial Beach Pier because it appeared it might be less crowded. It definitely was. Walking the pier was amazing because of the views and because of the signs posted along the way. There is a restaurant at the end and a sign saying that this is the most southwesterly Continental point on the map for the United States. It was absolutely gorgeous the day we visited but we could not get in the water because of a sewage/chemical spill. That was so disappointing. But it was still one of the most amazing experiences of my life. There is no cost to walk the pier.

Gorgeous day. Easy to see 2 islands off shore. Storm moving in, beautiful clouds. Kids & parents fishing, birds flying & swimming. Not crowded for Saturday afternoon.

Visited on December 2nd. What a beautiful beach! Lots of huge waves! Surfers, and fishermen! Being off season this is still a very beautiful location!

It’s too bad Imperial Beach can’t keep their holiday lights on all year long. As the winter season arrives, the excitement of Christmas and all the stuff that goes along with it, gets me hyped up. Alas, the holiday has arrived at Imperial Beach. Not exactly Hallmark standards, but hey, Imperial Beach has lights and a Christmas tree that’s lit 🌲

Nice 👍🏼
