I'm here with my family on vacation and we took a walk down Broadway. This place in particular sent shivers up our spine... The atmosphere left us feeling disturbed. My children felt uncomfortable in this store. It wasn't just that we didn't feel welcome due to some of the political messaging... Most of the stores around town have stickers and t-shirts that make us as Christian conservatives feel unwelcome. But this place was over the top... And the woman behind the counter (though kind and courteous) had on a satanist shirt which felt like a pure mockery of our religious beliefs and it made us feel very unwelcome. The place just aired the vibe of hatred. It looks like they had a nice selection of jams and honeys and jerky. I would love to go and spend money there despite our obvious political differences. But there was something spiritually dark about this place.. Something dark enough that it caused me to feel the need to find the place on google and leave a review about it. I don't even know how you can make it better; find some Jesus or burn some sage or something.

Oregon native here, but I live out of state now so only occasionally get to visit. Really friendly store, the staff are awesome. The varieties of jerky are great. I also like their soaps.

Maybe stay away if Pride flags scare you.

During our family vacation, we visited this establishment. The cashier was exceptionally courteous and amiable towards our daughter. It is definitely a place worth exploring, especially for its wide array of local culinary offerings.

All of the bad reviews seem unfair to the store and it’s ownership. We came in 2 separate times during our trip and each time the family who owns this place and runs the till were so sweet and welcoming. We bought so many unique jams, jerky, and sauces to take home. They were also the most inclusive store we saw our whole trip, lots of pride flags and other supportive signs posted everywhere! I personally felt very comfortable inside. They also have great covid policies/restrictions and seem to have a good system down!

So the conversation between my partner and I went like this: "I need honey sticks but I hate basic honey, where do we find flavored honey sticks?" "That one place in seaside has a ton of flavors" "Oh yeah! the one near the beach!" "Guess we should go to the ocean" "I guess so" and now we're on the way for some honey lol see you tomorrow 😅

The woman in the store was so rude. We walked out. She yelled at my husband because his mask slipped down. He politely told her that he was fixing it. She started yelling and I mean YELLING at us about mask rules. We are well aware of the mask laws. She told us she didn’t need our service as we were walking out the door. I would suggest she find a new place of employment if this business wants to thrive!!!!

We were on a family vacation walking around Seaside checking out the shops and wandered in here. When we walked in the woman working at the counter was glaring at our teenagers, who were respectfully looking around at the items in her store.

My friend's 10 year old granddaughter was looking at a display of Honey Sticks, which we set out in mason jars on a table in the middle of the store. While she was looking at the flavors, she touched some of the honey sticks, like a lot of people probably have done before her. When we left the store, the woman followed us out and screamed at the 10 year old for touching the honey sticks saying that she was making them unsanitary.

Never in my life have i been screamed at by someone in a store and we will not be back there ever. We were so in shock at her behavior that none of us even had a response. We just stared at her as she made a total scene in front of her store and walked off, she was obviously over reacting and not worth our time.

I am writing this review because I am still pretty bothered by the whole incident. It was completely unnecessary of her to scream at a 10 year old who was not being disrespectful by any means, it was appalling. Seems that other people have had similar experiences. If you don't want people to touch things, put them behind the counter or in an enclosed display. Seems pretty logical to me. And don't scream at your patrons in front of your store. I still can't believe that actually happened.

I started having an asthma attack in the store. The clerk decided that was not acceptable and demanded I buy and wear a mask immediately and use hand sanitizer rather than me take my inhaler. I recommend any person with asthma or any other respitory disease to stay away from this store. Strong odors will only make breathing worse as well as putting on a mask. Not allowing free access to use medications such as inhalers is only endangering the life of the the with the respitory problems. Is that employee really that stupid?
