Do yourself a favor and don't use Derrick Green and J&J Barns. I contracted Derrick and his company to build me a barn and a cabin. I gave him 55k as a down payment. He told me that it would take him 7-10 days to build the barn. He started building the barn on June 23rd it is now Aug 23rd and the barn is still not finished. When I asked him to refund me the money that I gave him for the deposit on the cabin he has refused to do so and will not return calls, answer emails and text. It now looks like I will have to take him to court to recover my money (20k). His crew was went out to start doing the concrete slab for the bar when I found out that they did not put down the moisture barrier and I confronted him on it he wanted more money for them to do the job right. The rebar that his crew put down was a 3/8 rebar and they had it spaced 3 1/2 to 4 feet apart. The first 4 feet at the front of the barn had not rebar at all. The barn has a black metal roof and half of the roof has black screws and the other half has white screws. The ridge cap on the roof is not finished. He refuses to come out and correct any of these issues.

The list is too long to go over his incompetency.

J&J Barns was the only place we found that could complete or contract all aspects of our barn build. We did not have to find separate cement, electric, plumbing, etc. contractors ourselves. That alone is reason enough to build through J&J. Above that the level of effort and quality brought by the install team was outstanding.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! They were great until the building was up. Then, no response from the company to finish the job. It is still unfinished a year later. The crew also stole from our property and the owner didn't care.
