This is the worst body shop I have ever done business with. My family and I will never do business with the Joe Hudson franchise again, especially the Gardendale location. They are overbooked, understaffed, dishonest, and do work so sloppy I could have done it myself with a YouTube tutorial. I have attached some photos for proof. Every time I was in their lobby, there were always other unsatisfied customers complaining about the work on their vehicles. They had my vehicle from September 30th- December 5th. After originally telling me it would be ready October 25. My pick up date kept getting pushed back with no warning. They were not upfront and honest about how booked they are, otherwise, I could have taken my car somewhere that could’ve fixed it within the month that my insurance pays for a rental. But, not once, could they give me an accurate pick up date. I even had to refuse my car the first time they told me it was ready because the work was obviously incomplete. I warned them about my upcoming vacation a week in advance, they assured me it would be ready before then, but it wasn’t. Instead, they thought it would be acceptable to have me pick up my car on the day of my vacation. That caused my whole family to be delayed 2 hours for our trip. Because of course, my car still wasn’t actually ready when I arrived to pick it up that morning on December 5th. These people really don’t care about you or your vehicle. Their lifetime warranty means nothing because I’ll never let any of these people touch my car again. I’ll take it somewhere else and have their work touched up out of pocket because I am so exhausted with dealing with these people. As if getting rear ended isn’t stressful enough, this company definitely made it worse.

I would give 1 star, but Mike was professional and honest, so he personally gained them an extra star. Visited on 2/26/25 as a walk in for estimate on cosmetic body and paint repair to my car. Was initially told by receptionist that I'd have to schedule an appointment for estimate, even though this was going to be a cash deal (no insurance claim involved). Mike stepped up and offered an estimate on the spot. However, due to this shop being part of a corporate chain, company policy requires them to do a computerized scan of the vehicle's mechanical status both prior to and after any repairs. This was going to be at an additional cost of in the $200 range. As my vehicle is a 2025 model with 5,000 miles and wasn't involved in a collision, I didn't see the need for that. However, Mike told me, that it was corporate policy that couldn't be waived. I declined their offer and continued shopping for estimates. Again, Mike was great, but I didn't agree with the policy and was immediately put off by the fact that they initially wanted me to schedule an appointment for an estimate.

I would highly recommend Joe Hudson in Gardendale. Very professional and they communicate well. My car looks amazing!! Kayla and Gregory helped me throughout the process. Overall, I am pleased.

Great experiences with all staff . I was assisted greatly with obtaining transportation to rental agency to rent a car. I would return to Joe Hudson's Collision Center for repairs again, if necessary. Good Company!!!! Great Service!!!!

We took our vehicle in BMW in had rear end damage the repairs was so good that you couldn't even see where it had been damaged the paint job was excellent it matched the rest of the vehicle like I said it you could not even tell where it had been damaged at we would definitely overall recommend to go to Joe Hudson collision center if you're needing any work or painting done on your vehicle. The office lady was very kind very own spot she kept us up to date with everything it was going on we were supposed to get our vehicle back on the 20th which we actually got it back a couple days earlier The guys there are super smart friendly eager to help so if you need some help with your vehicle go to Joe Hudson collision center.

They took very excellent care of my suv. Only needed minor fixes but looks brand new. They kept me updated along the way & it was washed & cleaned on the inside. Customer service was excellent, she was very helpful & stayed 15 min after hours, so I could make it to pick up my suv. Would highly recommend.
