I foolishly thought “how good can a donut really get” Before eating these as an adult for the first time. These are easily the best donuts I’ve ever had and just in a league of their own. Fresh, flavorful, and crispy on the outside, with a light and fluffy interior. These donuts the next day are still better than any you’ve had.

On the way to Mt. Hood, I stopped at Joe's Donut Shop. The outside looks like it hadn't changed since it opened. Inside, there are countless freshly made treats. I bought way more than I should have but despite buying 4 items, it was only about $7 which makes this place an insane value. The cherry fritter, coffee roll (Pershing) maple bacon bar were all delightful. If you are nearby, stop and load up!

There’s only one. And it’s not VooDoo donuts or any of that other nonsense in Portland. The pure glory and profound joy one gets from the ostentatious satisfaction of the never stale, always fresh, delight has been unwavering. The simple, yet sophisticated red and white checkered building is always a welcome landmark on the way to or coming back from Hood. Best donuts in the Pacific Northwest!!! The fritters are the largest I've ever seen and the tastiest. They have blueberry, apple, raspberry, and I think another one but I can't remember right now. Check it out for yourself you won't be disappointed. They are many other Donuts to choose from as well those just happened to be my favorite.

Everyone brags how great Joe's donuts are. They are ok. They are larger than average. I checked the menu on the website before going. Looked great. Planned to get $20 worth for a small get-together. Prices looked great. When I arrived, the prices were higher. Couldn't get as many. They need to keep the website updated.

Either the ownership or management must have changed. The last two times, some of the donuts were undercooked and gooey and tasted different. This has been a long-time staple for best donuts in the region, hopefully this is only temporary and they get back to making the best maple bars and cook them completely. The time before last, the worker that waited on me was very friendly! This time there was someone else that I had not seen before and maybe they were having a bad day.

Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had! The only thing better than the donuts is the staff, who were super friendly and kind. If you’re passing through the Sandy area, you HAVE to stop at Joe’s.

Best donuts all around. Definitely worth a drive! This is an old fashioned donut shop. Perfect place to stop on the way coming and going to the mountains.
We got the baker's dozen special.
