A spot off the beaten path in a cute neighborhood. There are a few park benches to set and watch the clouds dance over Mt. Hood. Great spot for some wide angle landscape portraits or of Mt. Hood.

It’s beautiful even if Mount Hood is not visible because of the clouds.
There are posted explanations of the land features you’re looking at. And, comments about the pioneers as they crossed through that area.

Gorgeous view of Mt Hood from here! I enjoyed the paver stone walkway, featuring people who contributed to making this lovely wayside spot. No restrooms and I didn't see garbage, but there is a ramp to access the viewing area. Even a bench to stay a while. Can't believe I've never known about this gem!

Went two consecutive days. One was cool and moody. Next day mountain was out and it was stunning. Both days had no issue with parking and it is very easy to find and accessible. Park and in 20 feet or so - treated to a glorious view of Mount Hood!

Really cool lookout to see Mt Hood without driving all the way out to it. Cool history info panels. And nearby coffee shops!

Visiting from out of state and found Jonsrud viewpoint on a whim. Stopped by on a clear winter day and the views of Mt. Hood are great!

Viewing place in a quiet neighborhood, no wonder a popular spot for photographers. Pros with tripods already setup, waiting for the perfect moment.

Some how I couldn't reorder the photos, but you get the idea.

Parking was limited, feels like there were space for < 10cars. However there were not that many people so it's still ok! Don't let this discourage you from these beautiful views!

Gaze out from this viewpoint and imagine the pioneers crossing mountains on wagons to enter Willamette Valley.
