Jorge, at Praxair in Watsonville, has been an amazingly supportive partner in my treatment and recovery from Breast Cancer.

You may ask, how could a welding supplier assist a cancer patient?

HAIR LOSS is a devastating side effect of chemotherapy for some oncology patients. I was able to administer Cold Cap Therapy to maximize my hair retention. Also, called Scalp Cooling, this therapy has been used for decades, yet it still is not a well known option for many. I had GREAT success and saved more than 70% of my hair!

DRY ICE is a necessary supply to create the negative degree temperature needed for the caps. It is imperative the supply of DRY ICE lasts many hours during and after your chemotherapy day.

Jorge made the treatment days so much easier by reserving the amount I needed and offering his kind words. Since my treatment in 2017, I have been active in advocacy for Cold Capping and he has helped several other patients I have referred to Praxair. because of his excellent customer service. I have received empty bottles as well as completely incorrect gas that I paid for. Double check your bottles and have them prove that they are full or else you might blow yourself up when they give you the wrong bottle. Pathetic performance.

Praxair has the friendliest service and donates pounds of dry ice each year to the high school I teach Biology at. Thanks to them students at Pajaro Valley High School will be enjoying fun labs in our classes each school year!

Felt I had to leave this review. Here is the story. I live in the area of Santa Cruz country that has been impacted by the PG&E safty power shut downs. So far my power has been turned off twice within just a few days apart, A day after the first power outage I went to Praxair in Watsonville and bought dry ice at $.70 a pound. A few days later after the second outage I went back to get some more. The helpful guy behind the counter, as he was ringing me up asked if I had bought dry ice before. I said yes just a few days ago, thinking he was going to remind me about the safety issues in handeling it. But no, the reason was, with a sheepish look on his face, was telling me that the price had gone up to $ $1.86. I was pretty surprised that it had gone up by 166%. Maybe I should have argued a bit but I think I was so surprised that I just paid and left. But the more I thought about it, the more I needed to post this review. I called the Salinas Praxair to see what they charged and they said it has always been $1.00 a pound with them and still was. You would think that a sense of community would prevent people from taking unfair advantage, but in this case, at Praxair in Watsonville, it did not. A 166% price increase is a bit extreme. Especially in a time of need when people are trying to keep their food from spoiling.

Linde is a great place to get material from. Very profesional and on top of it very good customer service. Great place to come for all your welding supplies and dry ice.
