I don't live close to Minnesota but I do own a Nechville banjo. The quality and craftsmanship of my Galaxy Phantom can only come from a top notch luthier. Sent in a request for help and got email back from Tom directly. Absolutely recommended!

Fantastic instrument, beautiful to play with a really rich voice thats great for writing and performing. Never needs 'warming up', alway sounding and playing perfectly. Toms customer service is excellent also.

I've been playing Nechville HeliMount banjos for 20+ years. The two I use regularly, Maple W/original Nechville tone ring, & Mahogany W/Grandilla wood tone ring. Some times I put in a Kulesh 10 hole. Love them all, and can't get enough. Some day I'm going to visit Tom in his shop.

What a bluegrass luthier shoppe should be ... a rustic open concept with numerous samples of his inspired instruments sprinkled about. Jam sessions held in the heart of that beautiful beast as you're surrounded by both product and players that transport you ... the sight, sounds, smells ... all made to feel at home.

If heaven is not like this, I'll think twice about going.
