What a great company! Excellent customer service, quality products at fair prices. I accidentally had my ski goggles sent to their store here in Scappoose Bay when I purchased online. They shipped it to my house in Tacoma, Washington, for free. I have friends and family in St Helens Oregon. Next time I'm there in town, I will be sure to stop by the store, say thank you, and buy some gear because I love gear! 😎🤙

The best experience my husband and I could have hoped for. Neither one of us are water sports savvy. We fish and he wanted to get into kayaking. Every staff member we came across was absolutely fantastic. Patient, knowledgeable, gracious offering information, and even offering to demo the products.

We first ran into Jacob in the Portland store who helped answer questions about kayaks, canoes, and boats. He moved a display kayak to the ground so y husband can sit in it and get a feel for it. Jacob made us aware that they offer demos and rentals at the Scappoose Bay location, on the water. Given how expensive Kayak's can get, it was a good idea to get a feel for what we are getting into.

The next day, we went to visit Matt and Alyssa at the Scappoose office in hopes to get a step closer at making a decision. I couldn't have asked for better folks to be around and to work with. An absolute delight those two! Matt is a kayaker fisherman so he knew exactly what to ask us and how to steer us towards what we were looking for. Everything we learned from him was very important, and my husband and I felt confident in the decisions we made. Matt took my husband on the water and demoed the various kayaks. My husband got a true feel for the various drives and kayak sizes which solidified his decision for what he was looking for.

Alyssa, the store manager, and Matt accommodated my husband's request for a discounted Kayak color they didn't have in the store, and she applied the discount to that kayak as well. We had our dog, Sushi, with us and Alyssa was so gentle and welcoming to her. She even brought her out some cold water to drink.

What is best about Next adventure is you truly feel like family. They don't try to sell you the most expensive piece of equipment and they really try to know your needs to steer you in the right direction. They did not charge for the demo time it took for my husband to make his decision. Just overall comfortable, pressure free, and good atmosphere!

We are so excited to try out our new Kayak, which arrived to the Portland location THE NEXT DAY! My husband was so happy and went to pick it up.

Overall 10 star experience! We won't shop anywhere else! Thank you Jacob, Alyssa, and Matt!!!!!! We will be seeing you guys soon for more, for sure!

My friend and I were shopping around in Portland for kayaks. Started looking at big box retailers, then decided to look at speciality shops. The Next Adventure shop in town was a great start. When we found out they had a shop on the water in Scappoose, game on. Upon arriving the staff was friendly and inviting. My dog, Jazz, wanted to be apart of the process, they welcomed her. From choosing a few ‘test’ rides to helping into the water they were great. I’m a beginner, and have the balance of an elephant on ice. Using the dry launch was a game changer. Easy in and out. Matt was especially helpful. From selection to loading our final purchases they were very helpful. Selection, good pricing, knowledge, and on water testing are some of the greatest reasons to visit here. But I believe the best to be their genuine positive attitude. Everyone loved what they were doing and it showed.

This is a great place to launch for bird watching in the bay and marsh to the south. You can even cross over to Sauvie Island and get into the center where there wetland is. We have seen many Cranes, Herons, Osprey and Bald Eagles among many marsh birds. 4.5 🌟 A

My blind sister absolutely loves kayaking and has been to many different kayak rentals. Next Adventure in Scappoose is by far over the top, the most excellent customer service experience and also most beautiful of kayaking places she has ever been. My sister can’t see, but she can hear all the birds in the bird sanctuary. We had a sister date day today and all 3 of us were overwhelmed with how wonderful our whole experience was. Paul helped us get ourselves into the kayak and had such a lovely upbeat happiness about him, my sisters and I all commented to each other about it after. Adam who was running the register was super helpful and kind. This place is 10 out of 10

Incredible and friendly service, quality kayaks, absolutely beautiful views of the mountains and the Colombia River. We had so much fun and definitely recommend it! The staff made us feel right at home and were so informative and helpful during our kayak trip. Can’t recommend this place enough and to come back!
