The North Coast Co-op is little supermarket in the middle of Eureka, Humboldt county. The store is clean and well maintained. There are lots of parking available and the staff is very friendly. You can buy lots of organic locally produced products. But what I love in this market is the opportunity to get local goods: soaps, chocolates, jams, honey, etc. Note that, this store is great but it is a little more expensive than other supermarkets in the region. This is not my monthly supermarket to go, but every time I want to buy some special, high quality food this is my store to go. I highly recommend.

Rude staff, won't move out of the way for customers, ask me maybe 1 in 4 times if I'm a member, and the prices are outrageously high. I will never buy a membership again. Arcata location and crew better but Eureka store is like going into a bad dive bar: poor lighting, uncomfortable feel., never ask if I need help or even say hello, the staff just passes you by. No consumer advantage to shop or have a membership here.

Every time I shop here I feel so uncomfortable. Three time, the cashiers are not nice. They don’t even care ask me if I need a bag or pass items to me or “ thank you. Have a good one”. I am Asian. Is it the matter? It’s sad coz the cashiers are Asian too. 👎

As a traveler in the area I will say: The hot bar was really good & the fresh desserts like their cheesecake was top shelf. The staff was hit or miss but I only interacted with a handful of them & it was majority good. Great grocery selection & the prices although high, seemed fair for the area. Great alcohol & souvenir selection.
I’d recommend this as great place for groceries & ready to eat lunch or dinner.

So I'm traveling in my RV .. I'm a hippie and I'm healthy...I was livid when my son went in to shop and the security guard outside was staring at me as I waited in the driver's seat...
Then he seemed to lose interest and Walk away... suddenly my dogs go crazy(not normal) and I see he's right behind me (snuck around from behind apparently)...he then quickly walked inside...came back out to stare some more....I will never spend my money at this store again!!
The irony of the huge sign saying "everyone welcome" on the front of their store!!

The Thai Cucumber Salad is to die for. I love the steady suply of grab-n-go 25lb sacs of grains and legumes. Membership here also enabled me to bank with Coast Central Credit Union when I didn't have sufficient proof of residence otherwise (power bills, rent checks, etc.) to open an account there! Now I have a PG&E bill 🙂
I pay more for bougie food because it improves my quality of life.

Great Deli featuring wholesome salads and dishes like popcorn tofu, turkey meatloaf, macaroni salad, chicken salad and more! Plus delicious premade sandwiches. Also great fresh produce, a wonderful butcher shop with grass fed local beef, and local fresh caught fish. Their soup and salad bar always stocked with the best stuff! Highly recommended. You'll pay a little more but it's worth it!
