I like this store and have bought these three masks, a man's Native watch band, some earrings, and some other decorative items over the years. The owners and staff are kind, able to explain/provide information about the pieces. The prices are very fair and considerably less than shops in Scottsdale (or other places in the Prescott area). If you like unusual quality pieces--or are new to this type of art--it's a good shop for you. I have to admit I stare at the trophy mounts and wonder where exactly could I place them in my home....

Sometimes things get under my skin , this was the place the day 03/08/22 . We own a hunting lodge on Kodak, Alaska and are on a shopping trip throughout Arizona for a new lodge in the Brooks Range . Our son who is a Police Officer near bye told us about this store . My wife who is a ( 15 time Iditarod Dog sled Musher ) enters the store first , I come in a little later. She is looking around and comes across a group of men sitting in a circle having story time. Not one of them greeted her, tip of the hat , hello mam , can I help you etc. These are the type of men who preach a good game ie: respect, decency, old school type values yet my wife was invisible. I entered the store to look at/ purchase a saddle and Indian blanket our son found for us. I first asked if I could use the restroom , no I was told. Then myself and my wife stood 5 ft from this group looking at a $6,000 dollar rug and again invisible . Needless to say we left with a foul taste in our mouths, thank god Alaska men still have decency and good manners. Hunt Alaska

We bought hand made holiday ornaments today at this lovely shop. Jeff gave us info on the craftsperson who created them in Mexico. The store is filled with gorgeous items, baskets, rugs, jewelry, much more. You can spend hours there looking at all the items and learning a lot. This is an amazing collection of beautiful creations.

I haven't been able to visit Ogg's since 2019, but when I am in AZ visiting friends, it is always a must go; I'm from IN so don't get there too often. I bought a couple beautiful cuffs and an amazing rug there. The owner Jeff was so gracious, and answered so many of my questions. I stumbled on this shop just wandering around Prescott one summer, and now it one of my favorites. I was talking to a Native artist at an Indian art market in Indianapolis, and he commented on how beautiful my cuff (that I bought at Ogg's) was. I told him where I bought it, and he said "Jeff's great, I went elk hunting with him last fall." So Jeff and his store are the real deal. I'm so sad I can't get back this year, but hopefully next summer!! Definitely make an effort to visit if in the area.

I have loved Native American art for many years and Ogg’s is one of my favorite stores to explore. It’s a great place for an impressive selection of authentic jewelry, rugs, pottery, baskets, ….., with a mix of older and contemporary pieces at very fair prices. It’s sort of like walking into a trading post, or a museum where things are for sale! There’s also a section of interesting western items and Mexican crafts. The owner, Jeff Ogg, has decades of experience, first as the buyer of Native American art for the Fred Harvey Company at the Grand Canyon for 25 years, and then as owner of Ogg’s Hogan since the late 1990’s. He is a great source of information. I find it easy to spend a long time in this store--and to keep coming back, because items are constantly being added. I never know what treasures I may find!
