I went here for the first time yesterday evening because of some reviews I had read on this app. I'm glad I did. The place is very good. There was a large crowd outside eating drinking and listening to live music. Very cool! The hostess greeted and seated us right away inside and took our drink orders. We looked over the menu and decided on some steamed shrimp, NOLO oysters, and some blackened snapper. The food came out very quickly even though the place was very busy. The food was hot and delicious. I sent my brother, who lives in Ohio, a text right away letting him know how good it was and that this would be the next dining establishment I would be taking him to when he visits again. Can't say enough good things about this place. You need to try it for yourself!

I discovered this fish market and restaurant on Instagram while craving fried snapper for several months. I jokingly think my phone eavesdrops on me because it started showing me fish restaurants. Papa Raw Bar appeared on my feed multiple times, and it also showed up on my partner's feed, who then sent it to me. We decided to check it out the next time we visited Fort Lauderdale, and we weren't disappointed.

The fish was fresh and plentiful. For starters, we ordered blackened swordfish bites served with seaweed salad and spicy mayo. My only complaint was that they were a bit stingy with the seaweed salad—I guess I’m just greedy, lol. The bites were delicious, and the fish was fresh and tasty. We also shared a fried snapper, which was cooked to perfection and served with several dipping sauces. Additionally, we ordered truffle fries and mac and cheese, and everything was delicious.

The staff was friendly, and we will definitely go back to try more items from the menu.

Great place! Stopped, we sat at the bar. Out bartender Javen was great. Made some excellent suggestions for both food and drinks and we were glad we took his advice. The swordfish bites were far and away my favorite. They were melt in your mouth delicious. Everything was excellent! The great service put out experience over the top, highly recommend!

The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is really fun. We sat outside at the bar and listened to live music. The staff was so amazing that they made us a customized sushi roll.

All roads lead you to Papa’s Raw Bar, plan your visit sooner than later. If you are a seafood lover, this place is Shangri-La. From delicious chowders to sushi and an authentic raw bar . The secret is the tenured restaurant is wrapped around what else but a full blown fishing fleet and fish market.
Our server Tony dialed us in with the day’s best items. Every fish market needs to move yesterday’s catch, news flash ! Tony was the menu Sherpa directing to the best of the best!
We ran down from Palm Beach County because it was portrayed as a “must see”. It is. Plan your party, call your friends and go. Steaks & burgers also looked good as they ran through dining room.

Our meal consisted of fish and chips, a dozen oysters, big bowl of New England clam chowder and an order of king crab that was the best I’d ever had.
Remember, Tony? Ask For Tony he will not disappoint.

Hubby and I saw this place on Instagram and as soon as we were in town we knew we had to stop by! Let’s start from the beginning - the place is kinda small, but the staff were extremely friendly. I almost gave this atmosphere 3 stars, but our server tonight was Victoria (who might I add: DESERVES A RAISE) and she definitely earned a whole star by herself! She was very patient with us first timers, knew the menu very well and suggested some pretty awesome dishes. Okay, let’s get to what y’all really wanna know: the food. We got two apps, and two sushi rolls. The menu was decently priced considering the fact that all the seafood came fresh from their market right next door. Our apps were the Stonie Rangoons and the Smoked Mahi Dip: for me? 10/10 on both ends. If I had to say anything critical, I would say the dip didn’t have a very smoky taste and it was a little heavy on the mayo, but an extra squeeze of lemon saved it as the acid cut right through the richness and we were both able to really enjoyed it. For the sushi rolls, we got the ceviche and yoga joint rolls. Both were delicious- the ceviche roll was light and pleasantly acidic paired with a savory, tangy sauce called their Wahoo sauce. The yoga joint has honey seared scallops and tempura shrimp which were super yummy. Again, if I had to say anything I would’ve like to see a better sear on the scallops to really make the honey flavor really pop, but overall- we really enjoyed it and can’t wait to come back 🙂

All I can say is WOW. It was our first time visiting and we were blown away. The food is genuinely delicious. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Our server Caitlyn was wonderful too.We let her know it was our first time and she had so much knowledge about the menu, made great suggestions, and described the food perfectly which helped us decide on some things. We tried the smoked fish dip, blackened po’boy dynamite style with the fresh catch (which was black grouper), sunshine roll with cucumber instead of rice paper, the Thai salad (which was our favorite!), and lastly the fried banana cheesecake and key lime pie. I’m baker and I gotta tell you that was the best key lime pie I’ve had next to my own haha. It was a real one! Absolutely delicious.

Highly recommend this place for seafood lovers!
