A few years ago, I gave this neighborhood bike shop a stellar review. I find myself backing away now.
I took my bike for a tune up a couple weeks ago, I was told it would be ready after the weekend. I gave an extra day before calling and the bike still wasn't ready. Not really the problem. When I arrived to pick it up, my seat was torn, it was not when I brought it in. I pointed it out and he pulled a $40 seat off the wall. I asked if I would get a discount due to the circumstances( I would have asked for a new seat if it were torn when I brought it in). The owners conveniently portray no understanding of the English language . She stopped talking to me. He diligently put the seat on, when I asked again for a discount, he conveniently shrugged his shoulders. I paid and went on my way begrudgingly. I can't help to feel I was scammed in this instance when I was trying to help the local business. I was going to buy a bike for my wife here, but that will not happen.

I've been taking my e-bike amd mountain bike there for over two years now. The older gentleman and his wife that run the place don't speak a lot of fingers but their service is excellent. in fact, he has fixed extras on my bike and I did not know about without charging me for it. One time you fix the flat tire for $35 and another shop up in pompano wanted to charge me $60...HONEST & FAIR! I highly recommend.

01/22/05 had a flat tire repaired today and was told by the master repairman that they will be closing their doors in a couple of months. Even if you don't have a bike, you should visit this shop. Old school hard work,Old world excellence. This kind of atmosphere and workmanship will be sorely missed. 65 years of repairing bikes does not come around often. Buena Suerte y Buena Vida. I have a Specialized mountain bike
. I brought it in for a tuneup, plus brought a new tube and tire to be installed on the rear. They did an incredible job. Also cleaned rust on the various rusted bolts. A GREAT JOB. Very reasonably priced.
