12/7/2024 - Ordered 5 subs from the Publix deli. Total price paid = $58.26. Barbara was extremely rude to my daughter who rang the Salvation Army bells for a couple hours donating her time there. I sent her inside to ask if the subs had been made yet. My daughter called me and was very
upset over how rude and passive aggressive Barbara in the deli had been to her. I went in to find out what had happened and Barbara started cursing at me when I inquired about the situation so I asked for the manager. Then she called me a liar and said that she didn’t curse and said the word carrot instead of the curse word. Unbelievable! I asked Manager Matt to pull any and all videos because I really do not appreciate being cursed at and then called a liar by Barbara, a Publix employee while I am trying to purchase dinner for my family. This should not happen at Publix where I pay premium prices to shop here. I only shop at Publix because typically everyone is super kind and knowledgeable. If I wanted to be treated like this I would not go to Publix. Manager Matt came promptly and told me that he would take care of the subs and have a talk with Barbara. I really hope that he does, the more I think about this it puts a bad taste in my mouth to be treated this way when all she needed to do was to be a little kind when she was asked if the subs were ready! She escalated this situation and that is NOT OK. I understand that we all have bad days but I should not be made aware of that as a Publix guest shopping for our family dinner.

If you have to cough, even with a mask on, don’t do it right on the hand that you are using to bag groceries. Ridiculous. Things have REALLY gone downhill.

Nobody ever says “how are you doing”, they cough everywhere, and you got the deli people making sandwiches with SO MUCH laziness.

If you make a sandwhich, you put it on EVEN, not all Lop Sided, uneven, and making it look ugly. If you don’t have the discipline can’t make a SIMPLE SANDWHICH , then what the hell are you doing

Customer service needs improvement. Would be nice to get a your welcome when you say thank you. I always say hello how are you when I go in and rarely get a response. Usually the same 3 gentlemen working. Must have all taken the same class.
