Cute store. Rude staff. Very snobby. I guess good people skills aren't required to work here..

Also it's very obvious that this is a big issue with this place when there are multiple reviews saying the same thing. Own up rare earth.

EDIT: And here they go again with yet another combative response.. calling customers personal experiences "accusations", and demanding proof isn't a good look. I can understand why the employees are the way they are, when the owner themself responds to customers like this.

Such a wonderful little local stop that's been running since the late 1960's. They carry everything! Imports, crystal specimens, high quality jewelry, smoking accessories, incense and oils, etc.. If you're looking for gifts they're definitely the destination😊

Got a cute brown lace top on sale here (9/13) and the girl who helped me told me it would look great (she also had one) and woooow it’s so cute thank you for your help I wouldn’t have bought it otherwise (a little out of my comfort style) thank you! 👏🏽💓

Super cute and has many different options. Clothes sales are final and I was disappointed to come home and find 2 holes in my dress I purchased for a good about of money. Just try and make sure the clothes are perfect before purchasing! They have the cutest hair clips and bags as well. I can’t wait to go again!

I had a very disappointing interaction here. I was super excited to come here to shop and had intentions to spend a lot of money here and continue to do so. Unfortunately I felt forced to leave because I had my service dog with me and some rude women with long grey hair told me I had to hold her in my arms to be in there or leave. I told her that my dog is a service dog, therefore I can't hold her because she can't perform her service if she is not able to move. This women had the audacity to say my dog was not a "real" service dog. Then I told her I would be happy to show her the certifications and that I didn't have her service dog vest on her at the moment because it was 100+ degrees and I didn't want her to be too hot. The women continued to ignore my responses to her and just intimidated me and made me feel so horrible I just decided to leave instead of being confrontational. That is no way to treat a customer! I have never had any issues, I've taken her everywhere with me grocery store, restaurants, etc. I would understand those places more because of health reasons, but this is a retail store. Also, my dog is extremely trained and just stays right by me. So, there was absolutely no reason for the way we were treated! Needless to say I will not be going back and will not be recommending to anyone. Such a shame because everyone else working there besides this retched woman was so sweet and had no problem with me & my dog!

I’ve lived in Ashland my whole life and Rare earth use to be warm welcoming people who are nice and helpful.
I’ve had noticed many rude interactions by the workers towards customers.
My friend and I went in and I was excited to go and spend some decent money.
My friend was stared down, followed from the moment we entered the store. She pulled aside another manager and explained how she felt and the situation.
The one staring my friend down overheard my friend talking to the other manager and was very rude, confrontational and asked her to leave.
It’s weird because Rare earth is “supposedly” a zen and good energy place to be.. not so much when the workers there are the complete opposite.. would not recommend going there until they hire better staff with zen and good intentions and powerful positive energy.
