The staff was very helpful in understanding what I needed for my garden project. I've picked up several loads of compost and several loads of gravel with my own trailer. It has been a great experience for me easy in easy out. I do wish they were open on Saturdays more than just summer time though.

One star is too much to give this company. Ordered almost $300 of topsoil and received fill dirt that was all clay with some small pieces of concrete. I have talked to others who have had similar experiences. Definitely avoid them.

Update: I just noticed the response from the owner. I did go in and brought someone else in with me after it was delivered and told them the situation. There was a lady and guy working there so unsure if any of them were the owners. They didn't care. Their solution was to buy manure to mix in, which I did but wasn't happy about having to spend more money there.

After hearing other people that had similar problems I wrote my review to warn others. If you absolutely have to buy from them never get anything delivered from them to avoid similar problems. I literally had to take the rest of the "topsoil" in a pickup truck load at a time to a friends place and shovel it off their ravine the dirt was so poor. No one else would even take it for free if that tells you anything. I attached a picture I took of the rest of the "topsoil" when I posted it as free dirt.

This place is a safety concern every gravel truck that comes in and out of there thinks they need to do 60 to 65 miles an hour down to 55 miles an hour highway with a load I will be contacting state patrol. And I hope you guys have to pay more taxes because your business is ruining the intersection on a public road that is paid for by public people not your business. This place makes an absurd amount of dust. Dust is not good to breathe and we all know that business is like this are not very good for the environment And I know I speak for hundreds of people in Columbia county we wish you would take your business elsewhere.

People who work there are friendly and helpful. There's a reasonable selection of grades of sand and gravel, as well as bricks and block that customers can buy by the pallet or just pack what they need on their truck.

The lot is not safe to wander around, due to large trucks making deliveries and picking up. Keep track of your kids and pets.

Always a pleasant experience working with Scappoose Sand and Gravel. I just found out they are open on Saturdays for the summer which makes our projects so much easier. Delivery scheduling has never been further than 2 weeks out, they have never been late and the drivers have been kind, courteous, and especially respectful of our property. We have had 3 deliveries scheduled while we have been at work and have had no issues. I greatly appreciate that the drivers call before they head our way for the delivery as there has been miscommunication on what was being purchased/delivered. Thankfully because they give a heads-up call before coming out, we were able to get the correct material on the truck and delivered. I highly recommend!

I Love these guys! Seems like other places in town definitely don't seem to give you the yardage paid for when getting dirt. This place takes care of you and I will continue going back so long as I own a home. Awesome prices and awesome quality. My yard looks incredible using their soils to landscape my yard from scratch. Thanks Steven for always being so friendly and helpful when loading my truck!

The driver's for the quarry keep driving down 2nd a residential road with those big trucks loaded with heavy rocks and such. It's not every truck but one of the drivers does this often enough that I am giving a review of one star for this place. Our road is not a commercial trucker lane please go one block over to the highway.

Get some quotes, but be sure to call these folks. They have the best prices around and it was very easy to stop by with my trailer and get a yard and a half of gravel for under $40.

I can't comment on the delivery service as I haven't used it, but their pickup service, prices, and gravel are top notch.
