Stopped in right before closing time just to
check it out and will be back! The sewing machines there are tested and serviced with loved. Super organized. Loved all the notes on tools and item that said "tested" so you can be sure they work.

Wasn't very good, lots of old stuff nobody wants. I think that happens with thrift shops sometimes. They get so bogged down with stuff that will never sell. I saw others posts who mentioned getting attitude from Staff, and Staff was curt with me as well. Felt like they had better things to be doing then putting a smile and a positive attitude on. I guess that happens when you get old. I dunno

The reason for 1 star is not because of the store and all the generous and wonderful donations people gave to this Senior Thrift Store, but it's an employee that I interacted with. This was my first time donating to this store. I walked in with my bag of very gently used womens clothing. I asked this employee if this was the right place where I can donate my clothes. Here is how the conversation went: Employee: is this all you have?
Me: yes
Employee: you can put it on that chair
Me: ok, thank you
Employee: uh uh
Wow, I walked out of there not feeling appreciated. Maybe I'm being a little sensitive, but she could have said thank you for your donation, or just thank you. In my opinion that would have been the right thing to say.

I recently moved to Scappoose and began volunteering at the thrift store. The volunteers are amazingly wonderful and very friendly. We receive donations regularly from people in the community and are delighted with their generosity. Our customers seem to like us quite well and return frequently. There is a wide variety of goods to choose from at amazingly low prices.

Worth a visit. Things can stay on the shelves for months, but there's always new stuff trickling in.

Pricing is all over the map. Sometimes excellent deals, sometimes higher than retail for something that should be thrown away.

Excellent alternative to Goodwill. Volunteers are charmingly grumpy.
