The good news is that this hotel is for you if you like sleeping on iron cots with a thin mattress. Feel lucky if you are fortunate enough to be greeted by a friendly young man when you arrive. The bad news is that the 5'4" brown-haired girl identified as Mandy does not belong in the hospitality industry. She spent most of the time in the back room talking on her phone. I had to search for her whenever I needed anything, which she treated as a significant imposition. Adding insult to injury, the complimentary "healthy" breakfast was half a bowl of cereal with 2% milk the first morning. When I finally found Mandy in the back on the phone the following morning, she put her phone down long enough to tell us they were out of granola cereal and immediately returned to her phone call! I spent years in the hospitality industry, working my way through college, and "Mandy" is better suited for a job that does not require an engagement with guests. She made our experience uncomfortable at best, which made the other faults more apparent. I would not recommend this hotel.

This was my second stay at this property and I really enjoyed it.|The location is just down the hill from town, an easy walk or drive.|The common area is amazing and the morning coffee and granola are great!|The staff are amazing and always happy to help.|As others have mentioned the rooms are a bit bare bones- no problem for a short stay. I can see how the soft product can leave people disappointed- the swing is cute but not actually functional. I’d definitely prefer a chair in my older age :)|Anyway, most are just passing through for a night or two so the room totally works. I love the fireplace, deck, and salt lamp and other small touches throughout the property. I’ll always return to this hotel when I’m in the area.|Thanks for a great stay!

Cute, pet friendly hotel in Depoe Bay. Felt very cozy and comfortable in our room and enjoyed our weekend watching the King Tides, coming back to our room to warm up by the fire was a lovely plus. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Would love to return during spring/summer when weather is nicer to enjoy more of the hotels outdoor amenities such as the private deck/patios and the lawn down next to the bay.

My husband and I wanted to find a place to stay while the king tides were taking place in Jan.|I found this place was reasonably priced.|When we got to the hotel we were pleasantly surprised that we found this hidden gem.|We arrived with a service dog and was greeted with a warm welcome. |This place is a great place for pets. They keep dog pets, leashes, water bowls, extra towels for pets .|Just about everything you might have forgotten to pack for your pet.|The rooms are cute , quiet and a great view of the bay.|Plenty of places to walk your dog also.|I loved that they also have games for families to borrow and play. I large fireplace to sit and relax with coffee or tea.|I will recommend this place yo friends.

Great hotel near heart of Depoe Bay's main strip - only a 2-minute drive or 10-minute walk along road. Loved the modern and clean aesthetic of the hotel and the rooms. Everything was very clean. Nice balcony overlooking the harbor and an electric fireplace that put out a ton of heat. There was also a fridge in the room - no microwave. TV is all streaming, but loads of free streaming channels offered. Hotel was very quiet during our stay (no kids allowed). Checked in and out online, which was easy enough. Note that here looks to be a flight of stairs to access all the rooms with no elevator. Downstairs lobby has lots of seating with nice deck with chairs and tables to enjoy fresh air. Free coffee, tea, and water 24 hours in lobby station. Beautiful hikes in vicinity at Cascade Head - if clear weather, but the town is really about whale watching. And of course, all of Oregon's beaches are gorgeous.

Receptionist is absolutely charming. The whole place has a wonderful energy. I love how eco friendly it is. The communal area was beautiful and so welcoming. Nothing like cozying up beside a fire on a cold & windy weekend at the coast. It was so much fun to be staying right on the Smallest Harbor in the World!!! Would stay again.

My fiancé booked the Hotel and I absolutely loved it!!! I didn’t know there was a swing in our room and it became my favorite place to sit and relax. The staff called to make sure we were still coming as it was after 4pm. Since we wouldn’t make it before the 6pm they were kind enough to email the information we needed. Our room and all the common areas were super clean and welcoming. The whole experience was so calm and relaxing. The shower pressure and temperature was amazing. The fresh made granola was really good. Definitely a place I would love to stay again.

We had never been to an SCP hotel before, but their website looked good, and the reviews were good, too. We were surprised that the rate was quite reasonable, so we wondered if there was a catch. However, as soon as we got there and entered our room, we knew there was no catch.||The room was clean, and there were more amenities than other places with higher prices. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows. The view of the harbor was great, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay there.||We were particularly impressed with the common room. It was large, welcoming, and well-decorated. As with many other reviews of this place, we, too, enjoyed the homemade granola for breakfast. We LOVED that they offered oat milk.||Last, but not least, we really appreciated Julia for her customer service. She was pleasant and professional and made sure that she informed us of all available amenities.||Because of all of the above, our weekend getaway was hassle-free, which is exactly how we like it. Additionally, we rarely ever return to a place because we like to experience new places each time. However, in this case we would be happy to return to SCP Depoe Bay Hotel.
