Seaside Candyman is definitely better in the Summer season. Taffy type of candy must have a short shelf life as our 2-1/2 pounds was hard. I am plowing through to get my moneys worth. The flavor selection is huge, as well as the jelly bean selection. Cool store, just better shopped in the summer season!

Many to choose from. I got so much to share w my coworkers. Many pickle and Dr. Pepper flavored! The taffy is indeed very hard... I thought that was normal.

Skip this place and go elsewhere or just save your money. They have tons of ‘flavors’ but you honestly can’t really distinguish the different flavors since all are so bland. Then every flavor but one has hard as a rock and dried out, making a mess of tiny bits of taffy where it was unwrapped. There was 4, maybe 5 people working and no one could muster any sort of greeting, when I was ready to check out it was ‘Are you ready?’. They seemed to be in a hurry to rush people out of there without any positive contribution to the customer experience.

The stalest salt water taffy i have ever bought in seaside! The outsides should not be so hard you can barely chew it. Bought over 20$ in taffy got a few of most flavors and they are all hard and most are flavorless or definitely do not taste like what they say! Super disappointed i spent my taffy money at this store!
Also the woman behind the plastic was hard to hear as I a hard time hearing when it's loud and she had to repeat herself and was rude.

every piece was hard and stale. How disappointing. My sister’s bag of taffy was hard and stale, too.
So grateful no dental damage occurred.

I don't know what's going on with their online orders, but I ordered something here around February 5th, 2025. The email I received said that orders are shipped out the day after the order is in. I have no info for anything. I will be calling my bank on Tuesday, February 18th since Monday is Presidents' Day. It's disappointing since the shipping was almost as much as the order and I went through a lot of websites to find a taffy place that offers me multiple flavors to try. I'm sure you can get candy if you go into the store, but never order online. They will steal your money.

Update: today is February 28th, 2025, and I finally have my taffy. Just ate a piece and it was good. Can't be too mad about the package being late since it was packed nicely. Address handwritten and everything. And it came with a list of the taffy and descriptions for each.

Watch out their Jelly Belly’s are expired. Got 2 pre packaged ones we all noticed they were really hard and horrible. Looked at the dates expiring 2023. I am assuming the same is for their assortment on the walls which was over $11 a pound had the same texture as the prepackaged ones. Extremely disappointing.
Check the dates when shopping.
