I love this beach. We've gone many times, and my only complaint is that parking can be a fight for survival. Local businesses will shut you out with "customer-only parking", so on the busiest of days, people will just start parking in places on the grass and next to the no-parking signs, just to be able to enjoy a beach day. Its not ideal, but I can't imagine its easy to make a bigger parking lot on such a small island.

The beach is kept pretty clean, I think people usually treat it with respect and understand the sand is not their personal garbage. Officers ride around and ensure things are safe. Trash cans are always overflowing on busy days, but I recommend taking your own small garbage off the island and throwing it away anywhere else, to be courteous. Enjoy this beach like we do!

We love this beach! Rarely overcrowded, clean beach with restrooms, picnic tables and plenty of free parking. New playground for the kids right behind the lighthouse and beautiful skies at sunset. Only 1 hour and 45 minutes from Tallahassee.

Free parkings and decent restrooms. Lots and lots of nice little shells on the beach. Good picnic tables with shade for lunch and an easy walk to the beach.

it's a nice place with stores close by and clean bathrooms. Beach was clean and the water is pretty there. Not really blue like you see in Destin but still beautiful.
