Service has always been great here and continues to be great with the new owners. The only issue that customers may have with the new ownership is a language difference. They run it as a family business and they're new to the English language. They go out of their way to not only understand, but serve their customers the best they can. I live close by and go there about 3 or 4 times a month. They carry the basics that a small grocery store or bodega would. Don't expect to buy in bulk here, they are the neighborhood place to grab a can of cat/dog food, a roll of TP, a beer, ice cream, paper plates, etc. And all of this comes with friendly service.
