Had some time to kill between a meeting in Santa Rosa and my flight out of SFO. Thought this would be a great place to stop for a stogie and a little BYO wine.

Selection is good enough but the prices are on the high side - but what do you expect in California.

Two star rating is due to a lack of general friendliness and policy against allowing BYO for non-lounge members. I asked about reciprocal privileges as I am a member at other lounges and while they said they have a policy they were not direct about what the policy is.

Worst part was I called ahead to inquire and was told on the phone ‘Come on down and we’ll work something out’ when in fact they didn’t seem to have any intent to work anything out.

All in all, better lounges to visit in the area. I won’t be back.

Really awesome space. Telford’s very much feels like a time warp in which you seem to forget the outside world even exists, these days we can all use places like that.

Parrish helped me out with their selection and provided great recommendations and insight without the slightest hint of condescension or fake enthusiasm. Just a dude with lots of knowledge in a subject ready to share.

As someone in the area for work looking to dodge traffic, Telford’s provided an amazing example of “third space”. As someone newer to the cigar world, and a bit on the younger and scraggly looking side of things, it means quite abit to be treated with respect and welcome. I am incredibly excited to return.

This place is a ripoff! I mean, I do understand they operate in Marin Country and also since they have a good selection, I am willing to pay more. 20- 30% more? No problem! 50% more? Well, sure!

110% more than elsewhere for my cigars and $22 for a pack of cigarettes? That was dishonest and mean!

I love this place! Nice staff, great selection of all-things-tobacco. Cool estate (used/antique) pipes, ashtrays and lighters. And tons of cool collectibles like old tins, broken pipes, match holders and other interesting decorative curios. Staff is a little chilly at first, especially if they think you're looking for bongs or other 420 merchandise. But if you have the time, and show some interest n their stuff, they're quite friendly and a wealth of information. Both on products and tobacco history.
They also have lovely smoking areas if you're looking to have a stogie with friends. Plus lockers (I think). Tobacconist, Parish puts together a few very nice house blends for pipe smokers. Ask at the counter and they will show you the quality stuff. Best smoke shop in California IMO (tobacco-- this is NOT a head shop). Bring your pipe and you can sample before you buy!

I love this shop and highly recommend it. Telford's has a wide selection of cigars, spanning a range of prices and regions. Even better than the selection is the service. The staff is friendly without being overbearing. When I walk in, I'm greeted with a sublime aroma of cigar and pipe followed by helpful offers of assistance. One-on-one service is available when I need it, but I'm left in peace when I choose to merely browse.
