One of the best steaks we've ever had in the Grand Lake Area. Great people, great prices and amazing food. Loved it all!

The burgers are really tasty and the fries are as well. The salad bar is great with lots of toppings and the homemade ranch is amazing. The chocolate cake is a must for dessert. They also have an amazing Buffett on Sundays. The staff is extremely friendly. Definitely a place to check out if you're passing through town.

This is a nice little place. Had breakfast. Eggs were perfectly cooked. Hashbrowns were crispy. The sausage patties were somewhat small and not the best I've had. Coffee was to my liking. Water tasted good.
A lunch buffet is available. Lunch starts @ 11:00. Restroom was clean but looks wore out. Waitstaff made a couple mistakes with a couple orders but corrected it.
Overall a good place to eat.
Prices are very reasonable.
Would recommend.

We ordered the kitchen sink omelet with biscuits and gravy along with sharing French toast and ALL of it was sooooo good! We’re from out of town and slept in after a long nights drive and nobody else served breakfast all day. So glad they do! Waitress was a sweetheart too. If we over sleep, we’re coming here again before we go home 🙌🏼

Ok Lady, now’s your chance …. Say it with me, “That’s Not Authentic Mexican Food!” and this time, you are right!! It is good authentic home cookin’, though.

The Café’s sign says Flame Broiled Steaks. I ordered the Cowboy Burger and yes it was a flame broiled beef patty. A large beef patty. This sandwich is a massive pile of meat. On the beef patty, a stack of ham, stacked thicker than the beef patty and two or three slices of excellent thick hickory bacon. Swiss cheese, a splash of BBQ sauce, all wrapped in toasty buttery Texas Toast. Fresh cut fries on the side. They have something going on with these fries. They are cut thin, everyone of them crispy. Uniquely seasoned with lots of black pepper and salt. The Cowboy Burger was too Much.

My wife still had Mexican food on her mind after our failed attempt to have lunch at a Mexican joint down the road. The Taco Salad was as described at the intro to this review, not authentic Mexican, but good home cookin’. Beans, lettuce, tomato, beef in a crispy shell with bottled salsa on the side.
They have a good-looking salad bar and today a big sheet of chocolate cake was the reward at the end if you ate all of your salad.

Breakfast or a steak might be worth a try here! We enjoyed our lunch.

Good prices, good service and the Christmas decorations are up.

HUGE PRICE INCREASE
4/3/2024
Now they force the salad bar on the chicken special on Wednesday.
It used to be $10 now
$15.64 with water
Soda add $3
Tip $3
Takes it to $23.00

All the booth seats are ripped up beyond belief
Put up with it because of the price!

Ate here 02/07/25 dinner. First off I have to say this diner at least in the evening shift is exceptional! From the time I entered the door I was greeted very friendly, was immediately told of all the specials. My server blonde girl was super kind and very through. I ordered a burger and fries because a country style burger is rare anymore. I got it! They have pie and even offered me dessert! The waiter introduced herself as well. Refilled my tea without asked. Automatically gave me extra napkins and prebussed my table when giving me my check. I grew up in Shawnee but I spent 27 yrs in Las Vegas serving training and oprning different levels of upscale dining and served and trained people in William Fisk Steakhouse 5 star restaurant. I now drive a truck living in Texas and its hard anymore to find a restaurant or staff that do what you guys have. Posting pictures of the food and restaurant because this diner is a hit! Maybe need to upgrade the booth seats is all because they are wore out cushion wise. Id come back there if I pass through there again!

This was a to-go order she did not give me the price on the phone for two bacon cheeseburgers. When I got there the total was $38.00. I couldn't afford drinks. That is my eating out budget for the week. I was going to come home, eat and then write a negative review.
The burger was huge, and the bacon was thick, the beef patty was decent size, the buns were not regular buns and they were toasted just right. Lettuce slightly brown.
That could have something to do with holiday weekend.
I will definitely get this burger again after I win the lottery.
And if that happens I will also donate a statue of me riding a horse. To go where the cash register used to be.
