Was a cool store to shop at and donate food and $ 100s in household items over the past 25 plus years no longer is that. Every one is consider a thief if you buy suit cases, back packs, tool box's, purses, etc. They want to look inside thinking your stealing extra items, I think it's it's very wrong doing this to loyal customers. The manager is screwed up. I have donated high end stuff never ended up on the shelf for people to but. I will no longer donate to that organization, there's other legit store's. Most prices are up the roof thinking there selling stuff on ebay ?.

This little known gem of a place is a great thrift store in Wasilla. They have a great selection of clothing, books, furniture, and more! I find great deals on yarn here often. This store also acts as a sort of community center; loaning things like canes and wheelchairs to people with short-term needs for free!

People are great prices are better. Weekly deals are on point and always satisfying to the avid trifter. I always find at least 1 thing and never spend much. Last time I got my dogs a sweet piano! It will be on here soon as I can train them to play it‍

Some of the staff is extremely rude. Other than that, it’s an ok place to shop and it’s not as expensive as goodwill.

I am grateful that Turn A Leaf values people as employees rather than computers checking customers out. It is so human to talk with people we have come to know. The prices at Turn A Leaf are true to a thrift store rather than a cooperate “bigwig” making all the money at Value Village rather than the hard workers on the floor.

I think turn a leaf is a great second hand store. My main problem is with valley charities reentry services. I have been recently released from prison . Doing time was the easy part. Now I'm faced with housing issues , employment issues, transportation, ect.. I applied for a grant within 2 weeks of my release . It was supposed to provide 1st and last months rent plus security deposit up to 2000 dollars. It's been almost three months and the grant never came . In trying to contact the case manager I can not get in touch with any one on the phone . I have never gotten a response to multiple messages left on voice mail . The alternate case manager phone number I was given goes straight to voice mail which is not even set up. I would like to know my status on this grant. I am working full time. I've stayed compliant with my parole. I just want to know where is all this help for people like me . I'm sure not getting any. The money is there for these programs, and I can't understand why I'm getting the cold shoulder .

I occasionally like going to Thrift stores. Turn a leaf is one of my favorites! Friendly staff. Prices are good for being a thrift store and they have certain days they do deals! Also to my understanding they're non-profit. They do accept donations as well!

Like this place a lot! They help the disabled and elderly. Great prices, awesome sales. They do a lot for the community of Wasilla and no one even knows. They have sales/deals for those on a budget for work clothes. They have tag sales, they test the alliances. They re did some of the store, it feels more open. Remember it’s a thrift shop, not a laundry mat. So you will have to wash before wearing.
Only down side I have is they try to sell shoes that are beyond worn out. They recently changed the prices and signs so it’s a bit misleading. They use to have great prices on shoes, great for growing kids who are active. But they have increased the prices on the shoes, big thumbs down.
I hope they don’t turn into Value Village, they are so over priced!
