Valvoline Instant Oil Change - Lighthouse Point, Florida

Came for an oil change. Necessary for the car. Was advised to change the coolant, at first disagreed. The man had never seen Aluminum coolant before, so fair. Decided to go through with the process. Process ends up severing the coolant line (which was already on it's way out, not completely their fault, older car needs work) and turned into a 20-minute process. They close the car, and I figure I'd take it to a mechanic. Out of curiosity, I open the hood. Tool, radiator cap jammed in a crevice, and screws loose. The neglect is a bit disheartening for a company I thought highly of.

Staff at the Lighthouse FL location caused damage to my car which created an oil leak. They told us to hire a rental car whilst they fixed it, promising to reimburse costs and are now completely ignoring us and refusing to honor that promise. Am currently in a dispute with them involving my bank and the BBB. Avoid at all costs.

Update: I have reached out several times to the number provided by Valvoline in their response below. Every time I'm told that no one is available and someone will get back to me which of course never happens.

Went back for an oil change and was not disappointed! The guys, as always, pleased with the quality and fast service! I would like to express my special gratitude to Charles - he was very friendly from the very beginning! He listened to everything I needed to do, then after examining and studying my history at the base, he also suggested changing the air conditioner filters (he took it out and showed how dusty and deformed they were) and also reminded me that I needed to change tires! Everything was done quickly and efficiently, without a long wait! Thanks a lot! My best recommendations to you, I will continue to visit you and recommend you to my friends!

I just left this location and claiming fifteen minutes oil change is false advertisement! I only had three cars in front of me and after an hour and fifteen minutes wait, my vehicle wasn't in the bay! I left. It's best to do your own oil change. It takes them forty-five minutes for each vehicle but they have the nerve to increase their prices like they're doing a good job, when they are not! Garbage performance!

Extremely satisfied with the customer service, knowledge, and the teams (Michael, Anthony, and rashawn)ability to help explain things in a way that would allow me to understand condition of car and support me in deciding what critical work needed to be done to ensure car was well maintain. Dirty garage. Owner doesn’t fix equipment. None of the oil guns work. The service techs filled my oil with a Gerry Can. Very unprofessional of owner to let this garage degrade to this dingy pit. Got my oil changed and the crew never put my oil cap back on. Found out months later when I opened my hood. The oil cap was wedged beside the battery. Six Hi

Update. I emailed Valvoline my information and never heard back as they requested in my original review.

Was driving by their garage yesterday and noticed a man in front of the store holding a HUGE sign, and I mean HUGE. It said the store owed him $3700 for damaging his vehicle. I pulled over and spoke with him. He told me that they damaged his vehicle and they wouldn’t reimburse him for his rental car cost. That was it for me. I decided to go somewhere else to get my oil changed. Never again will I go to Valvoline. The garage is filthy, the wait is almost 1-2 hours and they still haven’t fixed the oil guns, they’re still using Jerry cans to fill oil. if I was the owner or area manager, I would be so embarrassed that a man is holding a sign on the street asking for what is rightly owed to him.

I have been coming here for years, it’s a quick service and they give me a 15% discount for being in the military. That is until today when Tammy told me it was at her discretion and she wouldn’t honor it. She had a very poor attitude and offered terrible customer service. These clowns didn’t even check my tire pressure but you better believe they checked the box saying they did!

I switched from other car care service companies due to employee and service issues. valvoline is up front about their pricing and I love that I can stay in my car the entire time during service which is a plus. They always have coupons available online. To my delight I have seen a few female employees working and that impressed me. It left a lasting note in my brain that they an equal opportunity.ployer on real life as well as on paper. The staff is always very friendly and professional. I always leave with a smile and happy to have found someplace where it seems more enjoyable and less aggravating to work with. Than you for that. And big thank you to all the employees who work in the best and worst wether conditions and still make it pleasant!
