I was fortunate to link up with Charlie Rodney @ Vendguys early in my entry to the market space. Service was far beyond what you would expect from a sales team or distributor. PLEASE AVOID VEND GUYS AT ALL COST. We spoke to Charlie who was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful throughout the whole process. We originally purchased a drink machine that was delivered on time without issue, so we decided to order a snack machine and this process was nothing short of a nightmare. Charlie tentatively scheduled the delivery for Monday morning on Wednesday, we followed up on Friday morning to confirm the delivery for Monday. He replied on Saturday night, saying “we’ll let you know in the morning”. Sunday afternoon we text him again to ask about the Monday delivery he replied Sunday evening saying “I will let you know later tonight”. Monday morning we go to the location to restock and are expecting the machine to get delivered (since we never heard anything about the delivery being cancelled) we waited an additional 2 hours before he replied saying “the movers cancelled due to rain yesterday” FULLY ADMITTING THAT HE KNEW IT WAS CANCELED THE NIGHT BEFORE AND DIDN'T TELL US.

Which brings us the actual delivery day. Charlie gave a time range of roughly 11am. THE MACHINE ARRIVED AT 4pm!!!!! And unfortunately we wasted the entire day at the location because Charlie kept sending new time updates first it was roughly 11, then 12:30, then 1:30, at 1 the driver contacted me directly and said he was going to be there 2 hours later (so 3pm) and didn’t show up until 4.

His communication skills are abysmal and he apologizes but doesn’t take accountability for anything that happens. Additionally we made the mistake of trusting his recommendation for the machine we needed. Once the machine arrived it was heavily used, old, not taken care of, faded, etc. previously we asked to see the machine but he said “no we weren’t allowed to” and clearly it’s because he’s looking to unload his old worn out machines which we have definitely overpaid for. To top it all off the movers were supposed to set up the machine/credit card reader but had little to no knowledge on how to do so and now every time we fill up the machine we need to unplug the credit card reader from the motherboard. (Which the movers told us)

If you’re looking for a stressful and expensive experience from a smooth talker, Charlie is your guy, but if you’re looking for competency, accountability, a solid machine and delivered on time you’ll need to look elsewhere!
