I don't know if I can say enough good things about Vien and her personality, quality, and professionalism. I showed up to her shop, in downtown Salem about 10 months before my wedding date, knowing that asking for a custom dress would take a while. I had seen a dress online back in 2003 that I fell in love with. I thought I had a picture with me but unfortunately I couldn't find it.

So Vien told me to just sit down and start describing it. I sat there with her for about a half hour and between her suggestions and my descriptions, we came up with my dream wedding dress. It had exactly the amount of black I wanted on it. She'd heard me mention glitter and sparklies enough times, she ended up offering a sparkle layer under the tulle and I couldn't resist. It was absolutely perfect. She then said she could make my veil too. After my first fitting appointment, I knew it was the perfect dress. We got it adjusted to the perfect size and she mentioned having a few extra applique pieces from the collection of applique coming up my skirt.

I mentioned my fiancé hadn't found a vest yet. She mentioned she not only had fabric to do the vest for him and all the groomsmen, she ended up suggesting that we use the extra applique pieces on his vest as well, to tie the two outfits together. The results of the vests and the dress were so beautiful. The day was so perfect, the dress was so perfect, the vests were absolutely amazing.

Vien deserves every single 5 star rating she can get. Thank you again, for making my day so perfect.

The most amazing experience! I had tried on dresses at another shop and loved two different dresses. I had heard of Vien and her custom dresses and decided to go check out her shop. I went in and she helped me combine all the things I love from the two dresses into one! With the cost of the other dress, the accessories to make it what I wanted and alterations it would have costed me $1,000 more if I went with the other bridal shop. Vien created the perfect fitting dress of my DREAMS with a matching veil for a great price ($1,725)! And to top it off she is the sweetest person and does everything herself! The generic bridal shop said my dress wouldn’t be in till May and then I would need alterations (ordering in December) and Vien had my dress completed in February! She is the best and I cannot recommend her enough!

So here I am an excited bride and walk into this shop ready to look and get ideas of what I'm looking for. The owner wasn't real inviting with her demeanor. I didn't have an official appointment, but was just wanting to check out her shop and get ideas. She wasn't a friendly host and it's because I didn't have an appointment! She barely gave me the time of day and barely wanted to be helpful, It ready rubbed me the wrong way. There were NO other customers mind you. Why would I ever step foot in her shop again, much less buy a dress for me or wedding party there!? NO THANKS! You really need to be a gracious and inviting hostess regardless if a customer has an appointment or not, learn customer service and be courteous to everybody who walks through your door!!

I came across Vouture by coincidence. I was looking for a shop that could custom-make the skirt portion of my dream wedding dress that was wayyyy out of my price range, and a friend noticed her shop while on a drive. I found a secondhand dress where the top half was a match and brought it to Vien to see what she could do about the skirt based on my inspiration. Immediately she had ideas, and was confident she could do it. She also told me that she could do it well within my budget. I handed it off, and then trusted her expertise and skill. I couldn’t have entrusted a better person! We made a couple tweeks at the end to finish it off, and 2 months later my dream had become a reality!! Vien is such a fun and encouraging person to work with. She knows what she can and can’t do, and is straight to the point about what to expect and what might not work.

All in all I am so so happy I entrusted my dream wedding dress to Vien at Vouture, you won’t be disappointed.

My daughter bought her dress at another store. It was very simple so alterations had to be perfect, there was nothing to distract from the cut of the dress. Vouture’s dresses are not typically as simple, but she completely honored my daughter’s taste and the alterations were perfect. I am not a seamstress, but the raw silk material and the unique bodice made the changes needed very challenging I believe. The skill and professionalism from Vien was exceptional.
