Key Features and Operations

This distribution center is designed to handle a substantial volume of goods, employing sophisticated processes to manage incoming and outgoing shipments. A primary characteristic of this facility is its focus on floor load operations, which can influence the time required for unloading and processing. The facility offers a robust infrastructure, including multiple drop lanes to accommodate various types of trucks, such as OTR (Over-The-Road) vehicles. Specifically, there are currently two dedicated right lanes specifically designed for OTR drivers, facilitating a smoother and more efficient drop-off process. Upon arrival, drivers are typically checked in and assigned a delivery deadline (DD), reflecting Walmart's commitment to organized scheduling.

  • On-site Services: The center provides a range of services related to the movement and storage of goods.
  • Wheelchair-Accessible Car Park & Entrance: Accessibility is a priority, with both a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance ensuring inclusivity for all visitors.
  • Dedicated Lanes: The two dedicated lanes for OTR drivers contribute to reduced congestion and quicker turnaround times.
  • Seal Inspection: A crucial step in the process involves inspecting the seals on trailers to verify the integrity of shipments.

The operational flow involves drivers dropping their trailers and parking them until they are called to begin unloading. The time spent in the facility can vary considerably depending on the type and quantity of goods being handled. It’s important to note that floor load operations, due to the nature of loading and unloading, often require a longer processing time compared to operations utilizing palletized loads. The typical timeframe experienced by drivers, as reported by some visitors, can range from several hours to nearly a full day. This variability highlights the importance of planning and realistic scheduling when utilizing this distribution center.

Customer Feedback and Reputation

The average opinion is 3.9/5, indicating a generally positive perception, although there is room for improvement. The length of time spent at the facility is heavily influenced by the type of goods being handled and the efficiency of the unloading process.

Further investigation into the reviews reveals recurring themes. Drivers frequently emphasize the importance of communicating the nature of their load to the staff, as this significantly impacts the estimated unloading time. Specifically, loads requiring floor loading inevitably lead to longer processing times. The communication and coordination between drivers and the distribution center staff appear to be key factors in managing expectations and minimizing delays. The facility’s website, accessible at Website: walmart.com, provides general information about the company and its operations, though specific details about this distribution center are limited.

Arrived here at 9:50 am for 10:00am appointment. Easy check in. 2 right lanes for otr drivers. They check your seal and assign you to DD. Because my load wasn't on pallets I was told it'll be a minimum of 4 hrs to get unloaded.
I left at 4:50 pm. They call you and return to office. Just be mindful of what you have on trailer as it will determine your wait time.

If there were a ZERO star, they would receive it.

My husband is a long-hauler. He always makes sure his load is early to on time.

His appointment delivery time was 19:00 on July 21st. He dropped the trailer off at 18:00 on July 21st. He simply asked what time they would be done, the guy shrugged his shoulders and said I have no clue, whenever they get done.

Since there is NO overnight parking, and there's NO close parking available, he had to drive 20 minutes to get parking. (which isn't bad).

It wasn't till 00:45 on July 22nd. They called and told him the trailer was ready.

It's been 9 days, and they still haven't done a damn thing with the paperwork. So he is still yet to be paid.

What a slump of a place.

So let me get this straight. I have a single product load. You can’t even give me a rough estimate of how long my unload will be. You just say 2hrs minimum and throw your arms up shrugging. And if I do the Pull and Email method it takes you 3-5 business days to process my paperwork. So basically I’m stuck sitting here for your undetermined amount of time or I can’t get paid for a week. Do better.

Great place to deliver. In and out fast, cookie cutter other than tons of overnight parking outside gate on dirt strip. Break room and vending onsite.
