This was our first time in this store ,it was Saturday 10/22 Dan and his whole staff were very friendly and helpful to us. We were buying clothes for an upcoming coming concert. Dan measured our feet and helped us select the right boots and allowed us to walk around in them to see if they felt comfortable. We put our boots on layaway and will be back in to purchase jeans and shirts. I highly recommend Way Out West for all of your western wear. Thank you Dan and staff

Visited this store today, fabulous customer service! Nothing was too much trouble, sadly the boots I liked I couldn’t get my foot in.. not a problem, the boot dr who works there warmed the boots and stretched them.. admit I was dubious but I walked out with those boots!! My son got boots and jeans. Now two days earlier I’d gotten a pair of boots somewhere else and they were going to need wearing in, they were snug. I asked if the boot dr would help me with that pair even tho I’d bought them elsewhere, that was not a problem.. now I have two pairs of boots that fit me perfect! Please go see them, you’ll not be disappointed. I’ll be going back on my next holiday 🥰 thanks guys

After I posted my original review, Dan contacted me and thoroughly apologized in the name of the owners, he was extremely professional and I could tell he was being genuine. That alone changed our minds about the company. After I said that all was well, I offered to remove my old review, which he declined and said that “people need to know that we too make mistakes”, That’s integrity and I appreciate that. We ended up giving the company another chance and my wife got a nice pair of white python boots.

Had an awful customer service experience.
For context, my wife and I are locals, right here in Davenport, I recently got my very first pair of boots as a gift and I was absolutely in love with them, the wife wanted a pair and after driving by the store for years we finally decided to visit and buy her some boots, this was 12/11/24, my wife, a friend of ours and I stopped at the store around 6:20pm, I came straight from the gym and was still wearing workout clothes, I admit that it might not be appropriate for the ambiance, but in my defense the store would close soon and we wanted to go learn line dancing at a country bar that night (and we wanted to at least have the right outfit for it). We walk in, there are some people shopping and two employees, a young lady and a gentleman, they were helping other customers so we browsed around a little, soon enough the young lady finished and came to assist us, she was excellent and was going above and beyond bringing things for my wife to look, again, WE WERE THERE TO BUY, easy sale. As the young lady talked about some exotic boots with my wife, the older gentleman snapped his fingers at her and completely ignoring us told her “go see if they need anything on the other side”, where he was (a family was trying some pants I believe), the poor girl froze while all three of us said how rude that was, we’re pretty sure that our money is worth the same as the other people in there, she went to the other side, they obviously didn’t need any assistance so she came back, and apologized a lot (not even her fault). But unfortunately that interaction ruined our moods and we decided to leave immediately.

This long review is not in any way meant to trash the store, their selection of items was indeed very good and the prices seemed pretty fair, we were very excited to buy, but apparently the gentleman there that night wasn’t in the mood to sell us anything.

Way out West is a great store if you’re looking for western wear. We were looking for a pair of boots and were pleasantly surprised with the selection in the store.
The staff is very helpful and extremely friendly.
My daughter was deciding between two pairs and the staff helped her make the decision.
She loves her new boots!
The store is packed full and has a large selection of boots, clothing, accessories, hats, etc.

The staff are always brilliant. Knowledgable, super friendly, and make the experience worth while and really fun.

I first went here about 20 years ago as a kid on holiday with my family. The experience and service back then stuck with me so that I have been twice as an adult. Not the closest store to the U.K. but when I’m in the neighbourhood I love to stop in! Thank you all for making my trips to Orlando memorable and also for all the quality merch over the years. Can’t wait to go back, but with little ones of my own in tow next time.

Took our son for another pair of boots on Black Friday. This time he picked a pair of R. Watson’s. The store always has good deals. Amazing staff who spend time with their customers to fully understand what they are looking for instead of pushing a sale. If you are looking for cowboy or work boots, or Western wear, stop by Way Out West. You won’t be disappointed.
