We read the reviews before we called. This is a newly remodeled little gem. As others have said. Don't let the outside stop you from staying. Every room is decorated in its own theme. Very fun, tastefully decorated and appointed and clean. Great restaurants nearby and nice little town in walking distance, also just across the street, we saw whales in the bay. Great place to spend the night or longer.

We enjoyed our stay. Close to downtown Depoe Bay and Lincoln City.
Nice rooms and very clean. We loved having the recliner, his and her lol. The bed was very comfortable.
The only thing we could of us is a luggage rack and a few more hangers.
We would definitely stay here again. They were very accommodating to place us where my husband could get into the room with his walker.

Great location, good prices, quaint comfy rooms with nice kitchenettes. Walking distance to the main strip or to the water. Fantastic coffee shop across the street for quiet little mornings. My only thing is the walls are thin so you have to be very quiet and considerate of your neighbors.

Cute, quaint, clean, and affordable! We called and booked last second, got the last available room, and are so happy to have stumbled upon this great little motel. It feels homey and has a lot of personal touches. It’s well stocked and very cutely decorated. Most importantly, the bed is comfortable! The customer service was excellent and communication is great with email instructions and text. We’re very impressed and will be back when we’re in the area next!

Loved it. Will definitely be coming back! Staff was very friendly and the rooms were cute and nice. Only downside the walls are thin and the TV in the room next door was on the headboard side of our room.

The Whale Inn was just lovely. The room was spacious and the kitchenette was well equipped, coffee maker AND a kettle! As well as the usual microwave and fridge. It also had plates, cups etc. ||The bathroom was small but not pokey, lots of towels provided and complementaries too. ||The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I’m not even exaggerating it was that comfy, lol. ||More importantly the entire space was clean. ||Instructions were clear and concise, and there is set parking for each room. A short walk into Depoe Bay so we didn’t need to use the car at all. ||We’d happily stay here again and for longer too.

This was a last minute stop in Depoe Bay. The room was clean and decorated in a fun and unique nautical theme. The location was central to everything in town. The traffic noise was loud as the inn is on the main highway 101. Overall we were very comfortable in the room as two adults in the main bed and two kids sharing the sofabed. My biggest complaint was the squeaking springs on the sofabed that kept some of us awake much of the night.

Perfect overnight while motorcycling through the area. Great advance communications prior to arrival. Modern furnishings. Clean. Comfortable. Great location near a convenience store. We'll be back!
