You can’t find truck stops like this anymore. The women behind counter asked why I hadn’t found them Sooner. That was a good question. Drivers. If you run I 22. Stop in and get you some good home cooking southern style. Plenty of parking too.

It's a massive parking lot for trucks. If you don't stop to park at least stop to eat. It's not truck stop food. It's good southern cooking. The greens are from a can, but the lady making my plate didn't lie. She makes some damn good cornbread

It's some of the best gas station food you'll find between Hamilton and Birmingham.
Most of the time if you want some fresh gizzards and livers they will make them for you right there on the spot. This place has some of the best pork chop sandwiches. My wife and I drive 60 mi round trip just to be able to get their gizzards fresh and it's worth every mile.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here but I don’t think I’ll be back. The food got real expensive I got a monster breakfast sandwich that was $6.00 and it’s pretty slim. One slice of bacon, sausage and egg. Definitely not worth the price.

Yes, they have a lot of truck parking. That's why I stopped. After parking, I went in to refill my ice water jug, use the rest room, and get something to eat, as the diner had some nice reviews.

They charge for ice. Really I can't remember the last time I saw that. It hasn't been in this millennium.

And then there was the men's room. Puddles of urine on the floor. I estimate the last renovation was in the '80s. At least the stall walls got a fresh coat of black paint every few years, and it looked like it had been cleaned within the last few hours.

The final straw was when I found that the electronic paper towel dispenser was set to give about 4" of paper towel at a time.

I was so annoyed that the only thing I left with was my still empty ice water jug.

Sorry, guys.

They won't let you order from the grill because they are backed up for the football players? What about the working man They wanted me to eat from the deli... If I am paying for it, I am going to get what I want. Not what you want to serve me... Complete trash...

This place stays pretty busy, but when you have employees as hard-working as Cafe 30 has, you will always have loyal customers that are going to return. Even on their busiest, most chaotic days, you're going to show up hungry, but you're going to leave there satisfied. The prices are not ridiculous and the food is worth it in this small town so try it, you'll be happy you did. Be sure to leave a tip if you want to make your dollar be earned, it'll definitely be earned here and you'll be glad that you did.
