Working with Wldwst was one of the best decisions I made for both my home and my salon suite. Colleen and Lori have an incredible eye for design, but more importantly, they bring warmth, ease, and a true collaborative approach to the process. From the start, they listened to my vision, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure every detail felt intentional.

They helped me navigate everything from selecting the perfect wallpaper to choosing curtains that transformed my builder-grade townhouse into a space that finally feels like home. In my salon suite, they created a design that is both beautiful and functional—one that reflects my brand and makes every client feel welcomed.

What I appreciated most was their ability to provide options at different price points while ensuring quality and style were never compromised. They took the guesswork out of every decision, making the process seamless and stress-free. If you’re looking for a team that truly understands how to create spaces that feel like you, Wldwst is a dream to work with!

Embarking on the exciting venture of opening my first storefront, I entrusted Wild West with the interior design based on glowing recommendations. My experience, however, turned into an exhaustive and frustrating saga that I hope others can avoid.

Initially, I was charged $2,000 for an $11k design proposal, promised a collaborative process, and an 8-week timeline aligned with the grand opening of my salon. From the outset, I provided detailed mood boards and explicit descriptions of what I envisioned and disliked. My goal was clear: to create a unique and functional space for my salon.

The process began to unravel early on. Two weeks into the project, with my new space remaining untouched and the foundational work pending, my concerns grew. Despite my anxiety, reassurances from Wild West were plentiful but vague—always a “don’t worry” but little action. Four weeks in, with an empty space still staring back at me, I proactively contacted them to initiate any sort of build-out. They advised meeting with contractors to discuss foundational changes, so I arranged these meetings, only to face further delays because the designers had not provided any concrete plans.

By the fifth week, under my insistence, Wild West directed my contractor to demolish certain walls and begin other structural changes. Yet, just as these physical alterations were completed, Wild West’s “big reveal” shockingly proposed reinstating a wall they had just removed. Their casual suggestion that it “wouldn’t be that hard to put back up” highlighted a shocking disregard for practicality and budget.

Their final presentation, delivered exactly at the end of the full 8-week deadline, was the pinnacle of unprofessionalism. One of the designers, in her car en route to somewhere else, attempted to walk me through their so-called hard work over a shaky mobile connection. This disheveled presentation was a clear sign they hadn’t taken the project seriously enough to even present it properly.

The content was a hastily assembled PDF that lacked any personalized touches and included impractical elements like carpets and long drapes—choices that demonstrated a lack of understanding of salon operations. Moreover, the proposal was now suddenly $30k over budget due to their preference for using their own vendors, not for quality or bespoke craftsmanship, but seemingly to secure kickbacks.

When I voiced my concerns, Wild West quickly shuffled colors around and represented the same basic ideas in another “new” presentation, further showcasing that their efforts were last-minute, not the result of an 8-week thoughtful process.

With just three weeks left before my salon’s opening and the space in complete demolition, the stress and haste I experienced were immense—exactly what I had hoped to avoid by hiring professionals. I felt robbed of my timeline and the chance to react and adapt in a measured way. A moment in my career that should have been filled with excitement and joy was overshadowed by frustration and urgency, leaving me to manage far more than I should have needed to.

Ultimately, I decided to terminate our contract and take on the redesign myself, making more progress in a day than I had seen in weeks. If you’re seeking a design team for your business, I urge caution with Wild West. Their approach may suit less time-sensitive or personalized projects, but for those requiring meticulous attention to detail and respect for deadlines and budgets, I recommend looking elsewhere. They showed a profound lack of professionalism, commitment, and respect for my time and vision. This was not the partnership I envisioned when I embarked on this journey with Wild West.

I expected honesty about this project from the start. Promised a collaborative process, I was instead shocked and disrespected by their final ideas—Persian rugs and long white drapes in a hair salon? Moreover, their suggestion to open my business ‘bare bones’ after 8 weeks of ‘work’ is unacceptable and far from the professionalism I was promised.

The cutest and most cell-curated little shop. Full of hand made items from local artisans to vintage goods thoughtfully selected there is something for every style and taste. I always leave with something beautiful and unique for a gift (or myself 😉 and am always so excited to see what new things they get in stock. On top of it, the two owners, Lori & Colleen, are the kindest & most friendly shop owners on the planet. A stop at wldwst should be part of any and every visit to downtown Leesburg!

wldwst is an amazing shop. Lori and Colleen are so great at curating items and brands that mix well together and feel authentic. They only suggest brands that they love and are believers in, so you know you are getting a product that is tried and true. I have bought so many gifts for others as well as items for my own family from wldwst. They are so responsive and helpful if you have questions about the products and will also help you curate items for others if you want to send a gift box. So happy they will be having a full-time shop opening this year, and always feel good about supporting a small, female-owned business, that supports other small, mostly female-owned businesses.

The cutest shop in downtown Leesburg is what Wld Wst is. It's, gorgeous, female owned and they have a very versatile and eclectic array of products that they sell and that they themselves use. The shop is small but is bursting with character and history, they are taking precautions for covid-19 which is fantastic, by limiting the amount of customers in the store at once and making curbside pickup available for orders online.

I can't recommend this place enough, their instagram tells the story of what to expect here and you won't leave disappointed.

BEST SHOP EVER. Run by the sweetest girls, and love their selection if products. Bath salts, vintage home decor, best candles, artwork, they’ve curated the best finds. If I need a gift, this is where I come. DEFINITELY stop in if you’re in town (or make it a trip and pop by Buford’s biscuits and Side Bar coffee shop and Walsh Winery - or Wheatland Springs brewery!)

The best shop in town! You can find something for everyone here and they support local artisans and everything is made in the USA if not local. They also do curbside pick up which is wonderful. This is a woman own company as well. The owners and employees are very sweet and friendly. You don’t want to miss this cute shop!
